An update, and also, an update on updates

1) I think it's fair to say that I've been inconsistent about updating information on here, so I might as well make it explicit and say that I usually post upcoming shows over on Instagram (@adrianmontufarh). If I know you and we're in the same city, I will usually also let you know by email or text.

3) Life update: I am again living in New York, and currently working on finishing my dissertation at UC Berkeley. If you get me going about it, I am liable to talk your ear off. Here's the short version. My dissertation explores music improvisation and the design of new digital interfaces for musical performance. I am building an augmented flute for my own practice improvising on voice, flute, and electronics. Additionally, I am collaborating with three other improvisers (dance, voice and movement, viola), focusing on creating interface designs that are embedded within the existing—and to an extent bespoke—technique each of them brings.
